Rachel loves watching all the children develop and explore as they learn through play. Grace has been her home church since she was born, and she has a passion for her mission of teaching God’s word to all the children. She works closely with the parents in making the transition to daycare as easy as possible.
Rachel has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a credential in Administration/Director and Infant/Toddler Development. She has been at Grace ECC for almost 6 years now as the lead teacher in the Baby Room. Prior to that, she was a Teacher Assistant at Grace School for 7 years helping out in the K4, K5, and 1st and 2nd grade classroom. She is currently enrolled at UWM Milwaukee taking courses to become a trained adult teacher in Early Childhood Development.

In addition to center Director, Rachel also serves as Lead Teacher with our infants. Parents appreciate the tender loving care she provides as they leave their littlest ones in her capable charge each day.
Assistant Teacher, Angel Room (newborn – 1 year-old)
Samantha enjoys sharing love and warmth with the children in the Angel room, as she watches them grow from infant to toddler. Samantha has taken her Early Childhood classes through the Education Station. She joined the staff at the ECC after bringing her son Elijah here for care, and thinking that it would be a good job fit for her.
Lead Teacher, Tigger Too (1 year-old)
Katie feels blessed to be working in the one year old room at Grace Lutheran Early Childhood Center for the past 10 years. She enjoys caring for the children in this age group, helping them to meet so many special milestones. Katie encourages language development and simple problem solving skills as she talks and plays with the children in her developmentally appropriate classroom.
Katie received her Infant/Toddler Credential in May of 2015 and is currently finishing up her Associate Degree in Early Childhood, which she will complete in May of 2017. She plans on continuing her education.

Sarah has been working at Grace Lutheran Early Childhood Center since 2011, and has been involved with childcare since 2004. Sarah believes that children are a blessing from the Lord and she enjoys watching the children grow and move through their milestones from month to month.

Rosie enjoys assisting in the Tigger’s classroom during the week as well as babysitting on the weekends. Rosie as been volunteering for the past five years at ECC, but just recently joined us as a regular staff member. She is currently taking the required Early Childhood classes as she finishes high school.
When she is not taking care of children, she enjoys photography and baton twirling. Rosie is the youngest of three children and is the proud big sister to Sophie, her little pup. Rosie will be attending UW-Waukesha in the fall pursuing a degree in Communication Arts, and studying sign language.
Lead Teacher, Busy Bees (2 & 3 year-old)
Jane’s approach to teaching is child centered in our busy two to three year old room, believing that each child is special and should be encouraged to explore and learn in a safe and fun environment. Jane loves reading stories to the children, using an interactive approach which allows the children to be active participants.
Jane has a Bachelor degree in Science of Education in Communicative Disorders from UW-Whitewater. She has worked with the 4K program at Grace Lutheran Day School for 6 years before beginning work at the Early Childhood Center.
AssistingTeacher, Busy Bees (2 & 3 year-old)
Judy’s joy is teaching about Jesus and sharing Bible stories and songs with the children. Judy has worked for 32 years in Lutheran Education, teaching three to five year olds in a day school setting, and now two year olds in our Busy Bee Room.
Judy has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia University and also has a degree in nursing (LPN).

Sara has been a volunteer at the ECC for the past several years.After graduating from High School, Sara began taking Early Childhood classes. She is now assisting in the Busy Bee room where she can use her new knowledge.
Sara is pursuing her degree in Special Education first at MATC and then will move on to UW-Milwaukee. Sara looks forward to continuing her education in Early Childhood.
Lead Teacher, Little Lambs 1 (3 year-old)
Carey enjoys working with children. She loves caring for children and meeting their developmental needs and watching them hit developmental mild stones. Carey believes that all children learn from exploring if given the right tools to explore and develop they can be secure and smart caring individuals.
Carey has an Associate’s degree in Secondary Education from Oklahoma State University. She also has her (CDA) Child Development Associate from Washington DC. as well as a one year Diploma in Child Care Services. Carey has worked in the Early Childhood field for 23 years.
Carey is a mother of three grown children and is a Nana to two beautiful granddaughters. Carey is also a photographer on the side and has a side business in photography. She takes pictures of Events, Weddings, Seniors, Families, Weddings and fire trucks for Fire Departments.
Lead Teacher, Little Lambs 2 (4 year-old)
Amy’s passion and goal is creating life- long learners as she works with the three and four year olds in the Little Lamb classroom. Amy enjoys exploring books with the children and encouraging creativity through art and music.
Amy received a Bachelor Degree from Trinity International University and took additional credits in Early Childhood from the College of Lake County. Amy has seven years of teaching experience working in Early Childhood Centers in Illinois.
