Grade 4K

Class Overview

All subjects in the 4K program are based on a weekly theme. Parents get daily updates as children take home folders at the end of the day, and report cards provide information on the students’ progress related to academic, spiritual, and social growth. The children learn the Lord’s Prayer and a variety of other prayers. They also begin learning reading skills in daily centers focusing on letters, sight words, and word families each week. Science and social studies class work includes themes such as family and friends, apples, community helpers, habitats and teeth.
